Create an emergency communication plan. Put together an emergency tub of supplies. Learn about local hazards in your area and practice emergency response plans or drills. Attend a class or training session on preparedness. Have a safe place for critical documents. Check with your neighbors and see if there are ways you can help each other should a disaster strike. Share resources with your neighbors. Be sure to have appropriate insurance documents and property documents. Safeguard your property by making improvements that will help aid in the reduction of potential injuries and property damage.
