Cooking Safely for the Holiday Seasons

The Holidays are upon us! Soon family and friends will be gathering to create new memories. People will be congregating in the kitchen around the fire place and everywhere in between. To help keep your holiday season merry and bright it is important to keep fire safety tip in mind. In this blog we will be listing a few quick cooking tips.

• Check food on a regular basis. Be sure to use a time to help as a reminder.
• Don’t wear anything with loose sleeves while cooking
• Keep Flammable items (paper towels, oven mitts, pot holders etc.) away from cook tops or any other appliances that generate heat
• Purchase a fire extinguisher for your kitchen. Make sure it’s the proper type of extinguisher!
